General Description

Visiting the floating islands of the Uros is a magical experience. In the middle of Lake Titicaca, these totora reed islands appear to float on the water, offering a unique landscape and a connection to the ancestral culture of its inhabitants. During the excursion, you can learn about their customs, tour their homes, and sail on their traditional totora reed boats. It’s an unforgettable trip, filled with history, nature, and the warmth of its people.

Itinerary

The tour will start with pick up from your hotel if it is close to the city center or if your hotel is far away, the meeting point will be the main square of Puno at 08:30 to go to the pier where we will board the boat that will take us to the famous floating islands of the Uros. We will be received by the families who organize to show us their homes and their customs with their daily way of life and they will also offer us their work that they do themselves. Our guide will give us more information about these places and later return to Puno at 12:30 our activity ends.
