General Description

The Qaqrapukara tour is a perfect adventure for hiking and history lovers, taking you to one of the most impressive, yet lesser-known, Inca fortresses in Cusco. Qaqrapukara, whose name in Quechua means “Fortress of the Horn,” is an archaeological site located in the Peruvian Andes, more than 4,000 meters above sea level.

Itinerary

Our adventure begins at 4:00 in the morning with the pick up from your hotel, we leave heading south, we will pass through picturesque towns, we will have a stop in Cusipata here we will have our breakfast to recharge our batteries and continue our adventure passing by the Pomacanchis lagoon passing through the town of Sangarara passing this town we will take a detour to go to the town of Campi to the Chaqui Cocha sector here we leave the mobility we will walk through the mountains, rocks, cliffs, pre-Columbian trails, we will pass by rivers and achupalla forests on the route we will have spectacular views, rock formations, with luck we will see condors it is a 10 km walk until we reach Waqrapukara we will see it in the distance with its famous projections that look like ears or horns asta legra to this majestic places where we will visit this archeological site to take photos for the memory after enjoying this place we will start we will have time for our snack to recharge our energy and start the journey back to the vehicle and head to Sangarara and later return to Cusco, we will be arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m.
